People can inherit high cholesterol but it can also be as a result of unhealthy life choices. A healthy diet with plenty of exercise can significantly help to reduce high cholesterol.
It also helps to avoid foods with high cholesterol such as red meat and full-fat dairy products. As well as this it is wise to limit your consumption of trans-fats and saturated fat.
